Our Story

How Shukla Vedic Came Together

An unlikely collaboration between
a pattern‑obsessed journalist from India
and a curious skeptic from Canada.

Chapter One

The Door Opens

My journey with astrology began when my partner, Alissa, dove deep into it and started seeing the value in her own life. She introduced me to resources that spoke to my sun sign, and what surprised me was how accurate they felt. Not only for me, but for her as well.

I started to see how these patterns gave us a language to describe each other more clearly. A framework to talk about our tendencies, strengths, and challenges. It wasn't about predicting the future. It was about honoring what we already knew deep down, but hadn't yet put into words.

I was still an educator and a skeptic at heart. But I could see it was useful, and that was enough to keep going.

Chapter Two

The Proof

I first met Ritesh through the unexpected intersection of my YouTube work and his role as a journalist and news editor. At the time, our connection was more professional and friendly than anything else.

It was only later, after Alissa introduced me to astrology, that I began to understand the depth of the wisdom he carried.

Not long after that door was opened, Ritesh reached out with urgent insight at a pivotal time in my life. What he shared mapped so clearly onto what I was going through that it stopped me in my tracks. His reading wasn't abstract or vague. It was precise, mathematical, and deeply personal. More than anything, he offered guidance in a way that was thoughtful, grounded, and encouraging.

Three things made me pay attention: the precision (mathematical, not vague), the specificity (deeply personal to my actual situation), and the groundedness (thoughtful and practical, not mystical).

This wasn't the astrology I'd been skeptical of. This was pattern recognition backed by ancient mathematics. And it worked.

Chapter Three

The Partnership

What started as a personal exploration grew into a collaboration built on trust, curiosity, and shared purpose. The clarity and growth Ritesh's guidance brought to me and my partner made it clear: if it could help us, it could help others too.

Ritesh Shukla

Shukla Vedic is a collaboration. Ritesh brings the wisdom. I bring my perspective as someone who needed the wisdom translated into language that made sense to my rational mind.

The name Shukla itself means "bright" or "to shine light." That's the idea: to shine light on Vedic practices in a way that feels accessible and relevant.

Together, we're building Shukla Vedic as a meeting place between ancient insights and modern life.

Even if you take it simply as a system of ancient pattern recognition, it can open new ways of seeing yourself and the people you love. For me, especially after working with the 90-day plan, the more I've integrated it into my life, the more value it keeps providing.
